Gauteng’s Mix 93.8 FM today announced its new line-up, effective 1 March 2012. The new look schedule will see programming more aligned with the station’s positioning coupled with a refreshed and aggressively competitive strategy. The station welcomes two more legends of radio to its roster. Cleone Cassidy joins the station between 12-3 weekdays with Mike Mills hosting weekend breakfast between 6-9am. Derek “The Bandit” Richardson broadcasts his show from the UK every Saturday at 6pm.
Programme manager Neil Gundry says that the station is geared for growth in 2012. “I believe that we have one of Gauteng’s best radio line-ups with a music format that avoids tiresome rotation and overplay; Mix 93.8 FM has a hit-maker philosophy where on-air talent enjoys the freedom to entertain our audience. We believe that this is where good radio should be positioned.” It is this philosophy that continues to attract well known personalities to the station.
Gundry adds that the new schedule also ups the ante on its weekend line-up substantially. Weekends are totally made over with Mike Mills at breakfast, Hein Kaiser at brunch and Saskia V assuming the 12-3 slot and Derek The Bandit Richardson at 6pm ever Saturday. The weekday line-up sees Tony Blewitt host breakfast, Roxy Blows remains in her brunch slot followed by Cleone Cassidy at midday and Keith Lindsay during drive time.
Speciality and special interest shows are aired after 6pm weekdays with specialist music slots over weekends. |
